It features a red-footed falcon and a grey parrot holding up a palm tree. A blue star sits atop the palm. The countries name is inscribed on the upper ribbon, and on the lower the motto "Unity, discipline, work". The reverse of the coin features a cocoa plant, one the of the island's main exports.
