THE COWRIE Lariat Necklace is a streamlined version of our popular COWRIE Infinity Necklace. It features two cowrie shells on a stationary 18" diamond cut chain with a 4" drop. The necklace has a 2" extension at the back to allow the wearer to adjust the necklace to your desired length. The cowrie was once used as a form of currency in Africa and many coastal cities around the globe. Their significance extends beyond economics, as cowrie shells also represent spiritual protection and prosperity, often worn as pendants or amulets to ward off harm. Handcrafted with precious metals using the traditional lost-wax casting technique
Available in:Sterling Silver, Gold Vermeil (18K Gold over Sterling Silver), Rose Gold Vermeil (18K Rose Gold over Sterling Silver) and Solid 14K Gold.
Made with fairly sourced African gold, recycled, and conflict-free fine metals.
Cowries measure approximately 16mm x 10mm and 11mm x 7mm.
