THE HAITI Liberte Coin Necklace

$120.00
THE HAITI Liberte Coin Necklace is handcrafted from an authentic 1962 Haitian coin with precious metals using the traditional lost-wax casting technique. The design features the Haitian Coat of Arms, which includes six flags, two canons, a palm tree, drums, ship anchors, a long gun, and bugles (a brass instrument). The coat of arms symbolizes freedom and the country's battle for independence. In 1804 Haiti became the first country in Latin America and The Caribbean to gain indepence from colonial rule. The motto: L'Union fait la force, which translates to "Unity Makes Strength" can be found on the ribbon. The back of the coin bears a Haitian folk dancer, musical instruments and a sword.
