THE CARIBBEAN Bangles are a mainstay in the Caribbean. Also known as bayras, the bangles are a blend of Indian, African and South American design and culture. The bracelets are often handed down in pairs by grandmothers to their daughters and granddaughters and as single bangles to sons. This passing on of precious metals has been a form of passing wealth and heritage down through the matrilineal line across cultures since ancient times. Our Caribbean bangles feature a hammered pattern band accented by two cocoa pods at each end. Handcrafted with precious metals using the traditional lost-wax casting technique.
