THE NYAME Dua Adinkra Necklace I
$98.00
THE NYAME Dua Adinkra Necklace I features the Adinkra symbol Nyame Dua, which features a decorative representation of the cross section of a tree. It is symbolizes The Tree of Life, purification or blessings. The symbol represents ceremonial trees that are often cut where three or more branches come together. Nyame Dua translates to "Tree of God" and represents God's presence and guardianship. Adinkra symbols were originally created by the Bono people of Gyaman. They were named after the Gyaman King Nana Kwado Agyemang Adinkra. The symbols were later adopted into the proverbial lexicon of the Ashanti peoples of West Africa.
