THE AYA Adinkra Pendant I features a symbol representing a fern. A fern is hardy plant that can grow in many in difficult conditions. This adinkra symbol represents endurance, resilience and the ability to overcome. Adinkra symbols were originally created by the Bono people of Gyaman. They were named after the Gyaman King Nana Kwado Agyemang Adinkra. The symbols were later adopted into the proverbial lexicon of the Ashanti peoples of West Africa.
