Our COWRIE Infinity Necklace features two cowrie shells on a delicate 40" chain. The necklace features an open design that can be tied in an infinite number of ways. The cowrie was once used as a form of currency in Africa and many coastal cities around the globe. Their significance extends beyond economics, as cowrie shells also represent spiritual protection and prosperity, often worn as pendants or amulets to ward off harm. Handcrafted with precious metals using the traditional lost-wax casting technique

Made with fairly sourced African gold, recycled, and conflict-free fine metals.
Cowries measure approximately 16mm x 10mm and 11mm x 7mm.
