THE COWRIE Bangle I is a simple statement piece featuring two handcrafted cowries joined together by an organically shaped band. The cowrie was once used as a form of currency in Africa and many coastal cities around the globe. Their significance extends beyond economics, as cowrie shells also represent spiritual protection and prosperity, often worn as pendants or amulets to ward off harm. Handcrafted with precious metals using the traditional lost-wax casting technique.
Available in: Sterling Silver, 18K Gold Vermeil (18K Gold over Sterling Silver), Solid 10K, 14K, 18K, & 24K Gold.
Made with fairly sourced African gold, recycled, and conflict-free fine metals.
Bangle measures 8 3/8 inches from tip to tip. Adjustable.
