The diamond represents the nation’s mining business and the star, the 5 continents the inhabitants of the country originated from. The coat of arms is supported by two native indigenous people surrounded by a wreath that outlines the circumference of the coin. Handcrafted using the traditional lost wax casting technique based on an authenticSuriname coin.
