THE NYAME Biribi Wo Soro Adinkra Necklace is a shortened version of the Akan phrase Nyame, biribi wo soro, ma no meka me nsa," which translates to "O God, there is something above, let it reach me".  It is a reminder of God's providence and benevolence, encouraging people to remain optimistic and prayerful.  They were named after the Gyaman King Nana Kwado Agyemang Adinkra. The symbols were later adopted into the proverbial lexicon of the Ashanti peoples of West Africa.
