THE CARTOUCHE II Necklace is handcrafted with precious metals using the traditional lost-wax casting technique. Cartouches were amulets worn by leaders. It is believed that the oval surrounding the inscription protected its contents from negative forces. The hieroglyphs on this popular cartouche translate roughly to 'The power to manifest'. It is associated with King Tutankhamen from the New Kingdom in 1330-1320 BC.
