The hamsa symbol is one of the most ancient symbols of protection known to humankind. It is used widely across North Africa and the Middle East, and is thought to have originated in Ancient Egypt. It is also referred to as The Hand of Fatima, The Hand of Mary, Hand of Mariam, and The Hand of the Goddess. Our HAMSA Necklace I is handcrafted with fine metals using the traditional lost-wax casting technique.
