THE GYE Nyame Adinkra Necklace I features a small pillow shaped Gye Nyame adinkra symbol. Gye Nyame translates to the term “Except God”. It expresses the omnipotence and supremacy of God in all affairs. It represents a deep faith in the Supreme Being. Adinkra symbols were originally created by the Bono people of Gyaman. They were named after the Gyaman King Nana Kwado Agyemang Adinkra. The symbols were later adopted into the proverbial lexicon of the Ashanti peoples of West Africa.
