THE CARTOUCHE I Pendant is handcrafted with precious metals using the traditional lost-wax casting technique. Cartouches were amulets worn by leaders. It is believed that the oval surrounding the inscription protected its contents from negative forces. The hieroglyphs on this popular cartouche translate roughly to 'The power to manifest'. It is associated with King Tutankhamen from the New Kingdom in 1330-1320 BC.
Available in:Sterling Silver, 18K Gold Vermeil (18K Gold over Sterling Silver), Solid 10K, 14K, 18K, 22K, & 24K Gold.
Made with fairly sourced African gold, recycled, and conflict-free fine metals.
Pendant measures 17x7mm with bail and 14mmx7mm without.
