The first wedding rings date back to pre-dynastic Egypt, when couples would braid the strands of reeds collected from the Nile River and exchange them as a symbol of everlasting love. They were pure and simple. The circle represented the infinite and the hole a passageway into the future. They also placed the ring on the third finger because they believed it held a vein that ran to the heart. This vein is known as the superior vena cava, and the tradition of the wedding ring is shared around the world to this day.
THE CLASSIC Square Profile Ring II features a flat and smooth and smooth band with modern 90 degree edges. A minimalist wedding band style made with pure fair-trade African gold. THE CLASSIC Square Profile Ring II is ethically handmade using the traditional lost-wax casting technique and individually polished by master jewellers.
Available in: Sterling Silver, 18K Gold Vermeil (18K Gold over Sterling Silver), Solid 10K, 14K, 18K, & 24K Gold.
Made with fairly sourced African gold, recycled, and conflict-free fine metals.
