THE BARBADOS Independence Coin Pendant
THE BARBADOS Independence Coin Pendant is handcrafted based on an authentic vintage coin using the traditional lost-wax casting technique. The design features the island's national coat of arms and motto 'Pride and Industry'. The coat of arms features a hand holding sugar canes, a fig tree and the 'Pride of Barbados' Peacock flowers. A dolphin and pelican hold up the crest on either side. The years on the coin date 1966-1976, as it is a commemorative coin celebrating the nation's 10 Year Anniversary of Independence, originally minted in 1976.
