THE COWRIE Diamond and Pearl Drop Earrings are a subtle statement earring featuring a genuine Mabe pearl and cowrie with un-mined diamond detailing. The cowrie was once used as a form of currency in Africa and many coastal cities around the globe. Their  significance extends beyond economics as well as cowrie shells also represent spiritual protection and prosperity, often worn as pendants or amulets to ward off harm. Mabe pearls are one of the oldest cultured pearls in the world. Asian innovators first cultivated these pearls more than 700 years ago. Handcrafted with precious metals and responsibly sourced sapphires using the traditional lost-wax casting technique.

Made with fairly sourced African gold, recycled, and conflict-free fine metals.

Earrings measure 38 mm long. Features two x 22mm x 14mm Mabe pearls and 22 VS lab grown diamonds totalling 0.1 ct a pair.
