THE DINKA Bangle is a solid sculptural bangle inspired by the Dinka Peoples native to south Sudan. The Dinka have a rich heritage of crafting jewellery with Ivory. Dinka bracelets were worn by herders and other people in the community to represent courage. They were also worn by girls to signify their eligibility for marriage and passed down through generations. Women commonly wore elaborate ivory bangles on their arms and legs which would make beautiful sounds when they danced. Wear THE DINKA bangle as a statement piece alone or with other sculptural bangles from the collection, notably our complimenting circular shaped SUDAN Bangle.
