THE KOJO Baiden Adinkra Necklace I

$109.00

THE KOJO Baiden Adinkra Necklace I features an eye representing the Omnipresence of God in the universe and cosmos. Kojo Baiden translates to 'rays'. Its rays representing the sun and stars are depicted as the eye's lower lashes or rays of light. This protective symbol embodies the idea that we are all one with the universe, everything is connected, and God sees and knows all things. Adinkra symbols were originally created by the Bono people of Gyaman. They were named after the Gyaman King Nana Kwado Agyemang Adinkra. The symbols were later adopted into the proverbial lexicon of the Ashanti peoples of West Africa.
