THE HALF a Yellow Sun Baule Stud Earring I is a piece that can stand alone as a statement earring or be worn as a pair. A mix of subtle futurism and traditional design imbue the piece with a classic elegance. Each piece features delicate detailing carefully crafted to mimic the filigree like texture of original Baule bead work. The Baule people are a group indigenous to Western Africa known for their rich brass and gold smithing culture. Each bead is named after a common or proverbial object, such as "bamboo door", "setting sun," or "sun and moon". Made using the traditional lost wax method.
