THE MOZAMBIQUE Coin Necklace is handcrafted based on an authentic Mozambican coin using the traditional lost-wax casting technique. The coin features the national emblem on the front and the kingfisher bird on the reverse. Mozambique's emblem includes an AK47 with a bayonet attached, as a representation of "defence and vigilance", mirrored by a hoe representing "agricultural and peasantry". The cog wheel represents labour and industry, the book education, and the corn stalk and sugar cane represent the nation's agricultural wealth. The star symbolizes the the spirit and international solitary of the Mozambican people, and the sun of building a new life.
