THE COWRIE Diamond and Pearl Drop Earrings are a subtle statement earring featuring a genuine Mabe pearl and cowrie with un-mined diamond detailing. The cowrie was once used as a form of currency in West Africa and many coastal cities around the world. The shell is now a symbol of abundance and prosperity. Mabe pearls are one of the oldest cultured pearls in the world. Asian innovators first cultivated these pearls more than 700 years ago. Handcrafted with precious metals and responsibly sourced sapphires using the traditional lost-wax casting technique.
