THE AKSUM Coin I dates back to the 5th century and is one of a group of three of the most rare and ancient coins in our collection. It is the smallest coin and features a roughly preserved surface with the stamp of a cross from ancient times. Ancient text surrounds the cross. A textured surface dots the back of the coin. The AKSUM Coin I dates back to the 440-470 AD during the reign of King Abana. Handmade using the ancient lost wax casting method.

Made with fairly sourced African gold, recycled, and conflict-free fine metals.
