THE BAULE Sun Stud Earrings II
THE BAULE Sun Stud Earrings II are the medium version of our classic Baule Sun bead design. Each piece features delicate detailing carefully crafted to mimic the filigree like texture of original Baule bead work. The Baule people are a group indigenous to Western Africa known for their rich brass and gold smithing culture. Each bead is named after a common or proverbial object, such as "bamboo door", "setting sun," or "sun and moon" and there is a saying attached to each name. Baule jewelry was often gifted during engagements as a seal of commitment. Made using the traditional lost wax method.
